Harlem Pride Announces "Justice for All, the Movement Continues" as Theme of 2015 SGL/LGBT Uptown Pride Celebration

New York, NY -- (ReleaseWire) -- 06/08/2015 -- On Wednesday, June 3rd at Aloft Hotel Harlem the Harlem Pride 2015 Committee announced its 6th Annual Harlem Pride Celebration theme "Justice for All, The Movement Continues." A week of festivities (June 21st – 28th) is planned to take place throughout the upper Manhattan region to herald the great strides of national and global equality. The uptown enclave will open its arms to thousands of Same Gender Loving / Lesbian, Gay, Bi Sexual, and Transgender (SGL/LGBT) revelers, family and friends from the Tri State area and beyond.

Harlem Pride also announced its continued collaboration with the organizers of the 4th Annual Dominican Film Festival in New York. On Wednesday, June 24th, Harlem Pride and the Dominican Film Festival team up to present a special screening of the film "Dolares de arena." Directed by Israel Cardenas and Laura Amelia Guzman the film depicts the lesbian affair of an opportunistic young woman involved with a wealthy matriarch "Our collaboration with Harlem Pride brings our two communities together on our opening night in support of our award winning LGBT film selection" offered Armando Guareno, Founder and Executive Director of The Dominican Film Festival.

Sunday, June 21st, Harlem Pride 2015 Sunday Service at St. Philip's Episcopalian Church at 11:15am with award winning recording artist Nhojj.

Monday June 22nd, Celebrating The "T": Harlem Pride Trans* Appreciation Reception at Harlem A-loft Hotel, 6:00pm - 10:00pm.

Tuesday, June 23rd, Circle of Life Celebration: A Memorial Service in conjunction with SAGE Harlem at Union Theological Seminary, 6:00p - 9:00pm.

Wednesday, June 24th, Dominican Film Festival LGBT Presentation of "Dolares de arena" co-sponsored by Harlem Pride at Columbia University's Alumni Auditorium, Showtime 7:00pm.

Thursday, June 25th, Harlem Pride Night for "Invisible Life The Musical" at The Apollo Theater, Showtime 7:30pm.

Friday, June 26th 2015, Pride Ride: Rockin' The Rivers! Circle Line Cruises Pier 83 West 42nd Street, 9:00pm – Midnight [Boarding Starts at 8:00pm] Tickets – $50 (includes food).
